The school

The building is constructed in an L-form and is comprised of a grammar school on the first floor and a junior high school on the second floor. The grammar school, consisting of six classses, was opened in 1996. The junior high school opened its doors in 1998. On the first floor over the length of the school are the six classrooms and a storeroom, where at the moment the the watchman and his daughter live. On the side wing of the building is the office of the principal, the administration room, a room for the employees, four bathrooms and two shower rooms for the teachers.

The second floor has the same divisions as the first floor, however, two of the classrooms are being converted in a library and video room. Those two rooms can also be opened into one big room by a sliding wall. On the side wing of this floor is located the office of the assistant principal, a teachers room, a computer room and like downstairs four bathrooms and two shower rooms for the male teachers. The school is designed by an architect, according to existing models of schools of other presbyterian schools in Ghana. The school was built by the people of Old-Tafo under the supervision of an experienced builder. Both the upstairs and downstairs have covered verandas and the top floor can be reached at both ends by stone stairways. The school is connected to electricity and watersupply. However, a water tank is located on the second floor veranda, which can be used in case of water shortage, or if the water supply is interupted. Every classroom can be kept cool by two ceiling fans.
